Rietje (s. Hotline), owned by the Nooijen Family got 87 point for conformation
Fourteen heifers with a score of 85.1 points for conformation, is the wonderful result of the most recent classification at the ‘Peelsehoeve Holsteins’, Delta test farm of Koen and Laura Nooijen, in the south of the Netherlands.
An important contribution to this success is made by the heifers from the ‘Rietje’ family, who are related to Etazon Renate. She is the figurehead of the Delta breeding program and is among other, dam of Altanic and granddam of Danno and Saxobeat.
Three times Hotline
Six first calvers ‘Rietje’, received an average of 85,5 points for conformation (c.) and third calver Delta Rietje 3 (s. Penley) received 88 points, including an outstanding 90 points for frame and type. Her daughter Rietje (s. Peak Hotline) who got 87 points (see photo) was present among these top heifers. Delta Rietje 11 – another Hotline daughter from the Rietjes family – stood in the spotlight with a score of 86 points for general appearance.
The young Dellia 25, from the Southland Dellia Family, is the third Hotline daughter that underlines her father’s breeding capacities for conformation at the Nooijen farm. She calved at the age of 1 year and 10 months, currently produces 48 kg of milk per day and received 87 point of overall appearance, including the maximum score of 89 point for type.
Delta’s excellent conformation
Because the Peelsehoeve Holstiens is a test farm for the CRV breeding program, the Nooijen family houses many animals with a Delta background. The dairy farmers are milking G-Force and Galore offspring. One of these is Delta Gabi 3 (s. Het Meer Livington). On the last visit of the inspector as a second calver, she not only received 85 points, but also produces 10,186 kg of milk with more than 5% fat and almost 3.9% protein (305-day production). High conformation scores were also awarded for Delta Mai 1 (c. 87, s. Danno) and Delta Mouse (c. 86, s. Finder).
