Delta Fun P progeny group at the NRM

Retraitehoeve Rita 135 (s. Fun P)

At the NRM we will be showing a group of second calf cows and heifers by red-and-white bull Delta Fun P. Fun P daughters are highly productive and cope easily with high milk production, which makes them extremely efficient. Fun P is currently the highest ranked NVI proven red-and-white bull available. We have shown progeny groups by Fun P before, including at the HHH show held last December.

Typical for bulls in the show conformation category are the proven show families with a ‘gilt-edged pedigree’. In this special range, they are guaranteed to pass on stylish frames and impeccable udders to their progeny. Breeders with an ambition to shine in the show ring, and with a healthy and efficient herd on their wish list, will benefit from these bulls. Fun P is exemplary of this segment and we are pleased to tell you more about his merits.

Open, show frames

The first 147 daughters produced by Delta Fun P  hide none of their amazing qualities. They have been scored an average of 83 points by the classifiers: a unique feat! The polled Fun P is ground-breaking in fineness, angularity and body depth, and in the high placement and width of the rear udders.

Dam of Fun P exceeds expectations

Delta Fun P’s dam, Caudumer Lol 306 PP, was acquired as a calf by CRV for the Delta breeding programme from the Haytema family. She is now at the Delta test farm Barendonk Holsteins in Beers (the Netherlands) and is exceeding the expectations. She recently calved for the fourth time and has already produced more than 61,000 kg of milk in three lactations.
Lol 306 PP Red is ranked excellent with 91 points for her overall conformation and 92 points for her udders. Fun P transmits a similar pattern to his offspring; plenty of milk with super conformation, attractive heifers with an open build with great legs and phenomenal udders. At the Caudumer farm a third of the heifers are now polled, explains Sietze Henk Haytema. ‘It makes our work much easier.’ The polled gene has been spread through the herd by the matriarch of the line Lol 292 P.

‘Lol family’ always comes out top

‘An exemplary cow’, is how Haytema describes this Lawn Boy P daughter Lol 292 P. ‘At the classification she performed well, she produced loads of milk with high components and many of her embryos have been sold.’ The stature of cows with Lol bloodlines is not too large, they have a high rear udder attachment, hardly suffer from Mortellaro and are late maturing, very easy to manage cows. ‘We have a lot of cow families in our barn, but the qualities of the Lol family keep coming out top.’

Come and admire Fun P’s daughter group at the NRM!
You’re welcome at the CRV stand at the NRM on the 28th and 29th of june in Zwolle (the Netherlands)
