The April index run demonstrates CRV’s progress in breeding for efficient cows with great longevity. Mint, Dax, Worldcup and Hongkong PP are amazing bulls for Fleckvieh breeders who want to utilise the full potential of their farms’ production capacity.

New NVI highlights quality of CRV bulls

The April 2018 index run shows that the new NVI calculations, which are a better fit with the wishes of Dutch and Flemish cattle farmers, have impacted favourably on the rankings of CRV bulls. Many bulls boast outstanding production figures, with the high components currently in great demand.

Changes breeding value estimation August 2016

Below an overview of the changes made in the national breeding value estimation and also an overview of the changes that are made in other countries.

 

The requirement for animals to have a reliability of at least 30% has become lower. From now on, animals need a reliability of at least 25% to get a breeding value.
